Mobile Menu Help
  • Hello, Ive been trying to add the mobile menu to my site but obviously doing something wrong with the html. Is someone able to help point me in the right direction? My website link is http://www.tittletailsbehaviourandtraining.co.uk/m.index0.html (mobile menu displays in the left hand corner of the screen rather than with the icon)

    html:

    <!--Page Body Start-->
    <!--Master Page Body Start-->
    <div id="page"><nav id="menu"><ul>

    <li><a href="m.index0.html">Home</a></li>
    <li><a href="qualifiedbehaviouristtrainer.html">About Me</a>
    <li><a href="dogtrainingmiltonkeynes.html">1-1 Training</a>
    <ul>
    <li><a href="puppytraining.html">Puppy 1-1s</a></li>
    <li><a href="dogtrainingathome.html">Adult 1-1-s</a></li>
    <li><a href="behaviourconsults.html">Behaviour Consults</a></li>
    </ul>
    </li>
    <li><a href="dogtrainingclasses.html">Training Classes</a>
    <ul>
    <li><a href="puppyclasses.html">Puppy Classes</a></li>
    <li><a href="puppysocialisationclasses.html">Puppy Necessities</a></li>
    <li><a href="dogtrainingclassesmk.html">Adult Classes</a></li>
    <li><a href="dogtrainingmk.html">Talks and Demos</a></li>
    </ul>
    </li>
    <li><a href="contactustoday.html">Contact us</a></li>

    </ul></nav></div>

    Thankyou
  • Hi Zoe,

    I do not see any code calls for the actual addon itself on your m.index0.html page, only the code you have copied and pasted to the master page body start section.

    Are you "SURE" you have actually loaded the mobile menu addon into Webplus and then dragged the asset file from the left and onto your master page. It's definitely not there at present on the link you've provided but is there on some of the other pages, so whether or not you have multiple master pages and your normal pages are linked to various master pages not containing the addon, then this maybe where the problem lies. I just can't tell at present trawling through your source code on all the pages.

    If you are unsure how to add it correctly, in Webplus, load your mobile site, then click the Assets tab on the left of the work window and choose the "OPEN" button, not the Browse button. When the open dialog window is showing, locate the Mobile-Menu-X6-v1.0.wpack and open it. The asset file will then probably sit on the "Page Content" tab of the asset window, dragging the file off the page content tab and onto the master page which is associated with "ALL" your mobile pages, will make sure the menu is added correctly.

    Let us know if that sorts the issue out for you.

    If you are still struggling to get it to work, please upload your mobile site wpp file to my dropbox folder and I'll take a look for you - https://www.dropbox.com/request/na0MvgvTWTXZ4cv9whX6
  • Thankyou Mick, Im pretty sure ive done that so Ive uploaded the file for you. My mobile site is under master B page. Thankyou for your time.
  • Hi Zoe,

    Not sure what's going on here to be honest when looking at your file as everything seems to be as it should be but what I have tried here with it still not working is this. Delete the html frag box off Master Page B (the whole panel not just the html frag within the panel) and then browse and locate the addon again Mobile-Menu-X6-v1.0.wpack, once loaded into the asset window of webplus and probably sitting on the page content tab, drag it back over onto Master Page B.

    Then preview in your browser, your file as it was didn't work but after following the recipe from above, it now seems to work.

    Let us know if that sorts the problem out for you
  • You also do seem to have some hyperlink issues too with the menu text you have pasted for the mobile menu, for instance, 1-1 Training is linked to a page called dogtrainingmiltonkeynes.html but doesn't exist so you end up with a 404 error (page not found)
  • Thankyou very much, all sorted :)
  • Excellent, thanks for the update Zoe ;-)
  • Hello, so after updating my website (ive not touched the mobile menu) im having the same issues as previous. Ive tried deleting and re-installing but it doesn't seem to be working this time. Any ideas?
  • Hi Zoe,

    Is it still under the same URL? http://www.tittletailsbehaviourandtraining.co.uk/m.index0.html

    Everything seems to be okay there...

    Neil
  • HI Neil,

    Ive just copied this onto the computer which yes seems to be working (to be honest I only usually check on mobile for the mobile site!). I have however just checked on a mobile and its not? any ideas? Could it be something to do with how im uploading it or my site settings?
  • Hi Zoe,

    Just checked again on my phone and all is still good - could it be that you need to clear the cache in your mobile browser? It might be worth a shot:
